Mary Whitehouse

Mary Whitehouse is Immediate Past Chair of the ASE and a physics educator with experience in school, in university, and in international contexts. She is an honorary fellow in the University of York Science Education Group which has an international reputation for its research and its research-informed curriculum development; her own interest is the role of assessment in teaching and learning.
She is a Chartered Science Teacher and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics. In 2017 she was awarded the Bragg Medal of the Institute of Physics for her contributions to physics education. In 2020 she became an Honorary Member if the Association for Science Education.
